Emporium Antiques Online Auction Pages We have been selling and shipping antiques for many years, long before eBay or even the Internet was around. We are acutely aware that the majority of the goods we handle are rare and usually very fragile. We charge only actual postage costs plus a small amount (usually £1GBP) to cover packing materials, we use only premium quality, modern, light weight, approved shipping containers and packing. As many comments in our eBay feedback testifies, we pack to make sure you enjoy the item you have purchased. Most auctions have full postage costs listed, these usually include:
If you would like a different service than those quoted or would like additional insurance just email us with the eBay sale number for a quote. For more general information about shipping methods and costs the following information may help:

Customers from the USA should be aware that the British Post Office does not offer any fully insured registered services to the USA. Consequently the services available offer compensation only in the event of the parcel being lost completely and undelivered and not for breakage or damage to contents. Shipments to the USA are therefore considered to be at the customers own risk except in the event of total loss. For high value items that require full breakage insurance coverage we would use an independent parcel/courier service. We always request quotes from 3 separate operators to ensure we get the best deal for our customers. Shipments to the USA with Loss Insurance - For customers requiring the maximum loss compensation for their parcels we use the Parcel Force International Standard Service. Delivery to the USA is usually completed with 5/6 working days and the basic service provides LOSS compensation of £150. This can be increased at a small additional cost to a maximum of £500. Shipments to the USA with BASIC Loss Insurance - The Royal Mail provides a Small Packet Airmail Recorded Service with a basic LOSS compensation cover to a maximum of £28. This service will accept parcels to a maximum weight of 2Kg. Delivery to the USA usually takes 5/6 working days. This service is generally cheaper than Parcel Force with charges specified in 20g increments. We DO NOT use international surface mail. We will be pleased to answer any questions you may have about shipping to the USA or provide a shipping estimate for a specific auction item. Please email us and quote the eBay auction number. For full details about compensation and goods exclusions for both these services visit Royal Mail or Parcelforce
Shipping to the Rest of the World We will ship to almost any part of the world and have been pleased to serve customers throughout Europe and as far away as Australia and Japan. Many different services exist, too numerous to detail here. If you are bidding on one of our auctions and would like an estimate of shipping costs please email us and quote the eBay auction number.
