- What is the purpose of the Bulletin Board Service?
This service is intended to provide a forum between collectors and fellow dealers. You may post any question regarding an Antiques or Collectables related topic. If you are browsing the existing topics and feel that you may be able to offer assistance or further knowledge, please add a follow-up message. The idea is to promote discussion and circulate information. Don't be shy.
The Bulletin Board simply files your message together with those having the same subject title. Visitors to the site will see displayed the "thread" of messages on each related topic.
The Bulletin Board can look a little daunting at first but its operation is very simple. If you wish to add a new topic for discussion just fill in the form and press the submit button. You will then see your message displayed and have the option to view your message, as other people will see it, or return to the Bulletin Board headings page. If you do not see your message posted this is probably because your browser took the page from memory rather than contacting the server for it. Just hit page reload on your browser and the message should appear in the "thread". If you are still having problems mail us.
This is generally accepted as the done thing. However, if you wish not to, the program will use only your entered name as reference for the message.
Well of course there are. But only a few:
- Antiques and Collectable related topics only.
- No advertising of any kind is allowed. If you are looking for something, submit a wanted advertisement to our Classified Pages.
- Politeness and good conduct on this Bulletin Board is expected at all times. No bad language. I don't really have to tell you this do I?
- Interesting messages will remain displayed even when answered or resolved. Boring or unrelated topics will be deleted.

No. You can not use HTML tags in any field.
Colons appear in the message dialog box when you try to followup up on a message to indicate that those lines are quoting the previous document.
Your message most likely did not show up, because your browser did not reload the page, it simply pulled it out of cache. Use the reload button on your browser and it should then appear.
