I have a small samovar (teapot and stand) and cake stand with vase which are in a terrible state and need restoration. They date from about 1910 and belonged to my grandparents. I would like to restore them for my grandchildren but I've been told it is impossible and would be horrendously expensive. If this is true is there any way I could try and improve their looks myself. Any suggestions welcomed.
