Can't help with the first piece, I suspect that it is of US manufacture and that the mark "Reg.L.S.pat.off." probably reads "US pat off" and would denote that the design had been registered in the US.

The second item is certainly of UK origin made by the Doulton factory in Burslem, Staffordshire. The backstamp you describe was used by the factory between 1882 and 1902, with the additional word "England" being added in 1891. This fits in well with the Design Registration number (the 6 figure number) which indicates the year 1895. The name "KATHRYN" is probably the pattern name.
