Ellgreave teapot

My friend has just acquired an Ellgreave Teapot made
in England, still in original condition never used with
label still not removed. It has a rose with wheat
pattern and on the botton what appears to be written
in gold the number 344 J. Can anyone give us any
history on this teapot. Thanks.
