Your description doesn't give me a lot to work with. I presume the item is silver in appearance? I am not familiar with that particular mark but would presume the item to be "Sheffield Plate" that is silver plating on a base of copper. Post a follow up message with a more complete description of the item and I will see if I can provide more information.
