A Library patron has a "Franklin D. Roosevelt" walking cane. The cane is 34 1/2 inches long; bottom part is a "dark" wood; curved handle is a smooth gray metal with the words "FRANKLIN D ROOSEVELT" in raised letters on one side of the handle and " *FOR PRESIDENT*" on the other. Two double raised band runs horizontally around the base of the metal handle with a "32" on one side and a "shield shaped" raised metal icon on the opposite side. The wooden "stick" part of the cane possibly screwed up into the metal handle.
The cane has "been in the family" since the time of Roosevelt and now wants to know what it is worth? Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. I will forward any replies on to this patron. Thank you.
