Adams Calyx Ware Help Needed

[ Follow Ups ] [ Emporium Antiques Forum ] [ FAQ ]

Posted by Mark on July 05, 2000 at 04:21:53:

I too have a tea set of Adams Calyx Ware. I do not know the pattern name. The bottom stamp says Calyx ware, hand painted, 2087. I assume that the 2087 must refer to the pattern. I also notice on the tea pot a number 4 in yellow. The pattern itself looks like a pink rose with 3 small purple flowers to the left and three green leaves to the upper right (near top) and a yellow leaf (?) to the upper left and a purple/yellow flower to the lower left. Around the top of the pot, there is a pink cross pattern design with little "spikes".

Not a clear description, I know, but any assistance in identifying this set would be appreciated. I am looking for age and pattern type. I will need to get value later for insurance purposes, but I'll start with anything.

BTW, I'm located in Quebec, Canada.

Thanks,

Mark
