Unusual antique photograph/portrait

I discovered an old photograph of some type behind an antique framed mirror. I have never seen anything like it and I really want to know what it is and if it is valuable. The woman in the picture is playing two pipes and she is wearing a black arm band and a gown that reminds me of a toga. Her eyes are tinted blue and there is a silvery tint painted around the neck of her gown and on the folds in the front. The overall tint is sepia. The photograph itself, which is mounted on a larger board, is approximately 15" X 21". I have tried looking for information about this, but have been unsuccessful, not knowing any more about it than I do. I hope someone here will be able to help me and at least point me in the right direction. Here is the URL for a photo of the picture:

Thank you very much!
