Were there two H&K pottery factories in England?

Hello. I have been given a white ironestone pitcher/jug and the pottery mark reads: IRONSTONE CHINA H & K. The mark is like an up-side-down horse-shoe with a ribbon or banner underneath, and one part of it reads ENGLAND. As a novice, I am trying to find out some information but I keep coming up with colourful H&K Tunstall pottery - with a different mark. Can anyone point me in the right direction? It would be much appreciated. Thanks, June, Canada
