At first I thought you might mean the cattle figures used in Butchers Shops which stood about a foot tall. These are very often mistaken for Beswick.

Beswick manufactured two versions of the Hereford Bull, the first, issued in 1955, was numbered 1363a. After several years of manufacture Beswick decided to change the figure because the figure was prone to damage to the horns. Unfortunately no record exists as to when this change took place but the second version was in production until 1997.

The difference is subtle and is centered around the horns. 1363a currently sells for around £100 and 1363b for around £70.00
