I just inherited a cobalt blue ceramic (or is it porcelain? -- it's shiny) tea set which has an intricate and detailed silver design applied. There's a teapot, creamer, sugar and trivet, which all have the beautiful silver application. All of the pieces except the trivet are marked "Sudlow's, Burslem" and "Made in England". I am intensely curious about this set and how many were made, how it was made, more about Sudlow's (which I have been told is R. Sudlow & Sons, Adelaide Pottery, Burslem and that they started marking their wares in 1920) so I can trace it back through my family if possible. Value would be interesting, but I'm not selling it! Thanks for any suggestions of websites, books, etc. that would help -- I'm a neophyte to the world of antiques and ceramics/porcelain. - Sharon, Canada
