Thank you for your prompt reply. I don't think the painting was done after 1940. My mother has one of hers also (of Exeter) and I think it has been in the family for longer than 60 years. When I found my painting in 1993 it was in the basement of my aunt's home wrapped in paper with the following information on it:
"Moorland Landscape (complete with cattle) painted by Dora Trump cousin of Miss Hattie Priddis of "Brook Farm" Township of London, Ontario. The Priddis family was from Honiton, Devon, England. The Trump family was related. Charles Trump Priddis and family are buried in family crypt at Woodland Cemetery, London, Ontario. A son, Charles Priddis gave his name to Priddis, Alberta, a suburb now of Calgary".
Miss Hattie Priddis was a friend of my great-grandmother and I assume these paintings came from her.
Thanks for the idea of checking out an art society in Devon. I'll try to do that.
