Global Electric Fan

Posted by Gordon on August 14, 2000 at 19:21:03:

I have two old fans that were given to me and have never
seen anything like them. They are about 2 1/2 feet tall,
the have a brass globe dome over the fan blades and the
globe has slits in it to allow the air to come out. I am
extremely interested in finding out more about them.
I just took them to an appraiser in Miami and he said
he hadn't ever seen anything like them either. He did say
they were early 1900's but was about it. Anyone know anything
about an electric fan like these? Thanks in advance. Gordon
