I have a James Kent Ltd. teapot in the Dubarry pattern. I have been told that it is probably not porcelain, but rather that it is earthenware. Do you know if this is true? If not what is it? This is not a reproduced Chintz piece. I believe that it was manufactured between 1934 and 1980, probably in the 1940's since the backstamp is similar to other's of that decade. If it is Earthenware, what makes it so? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
