Can you post a photo, Michelle, of the pattern and backstamp? If not, try replacements.com: they have thousands of photos of china on their site. For history, the word England denotes a date after 1890 something, but try www.thepotteries.org and you might find a photo of the backstamp to match yours. You can date it from that.
