They look like checker pieces to me to. They're fairly primitive in design. I'm guessing they're lead or lead-tin alloy. I'm based in the UK, if I'd found those here I would be thinking about mid to late 1700's.

I suggest you pop into your local museum and see the curator, they should be able to help you identify and date these.
