Cannot tell you much but I have a tea set with the same stamp, some of the cups also have a lady's head on the bottom of the inside. The pattern on mine is a very oriental design.
I think you will find that these items came from Eastern and Orient - this is the company that runs the Orient Express plus hotels.
I really want to find out more about it too because I believe they could be worth quite a bit. Quite a bit of the china used by E&O was especially produced by GINORI of Italy but like yours mine has no other stampings.
Hope this is of some interest.
