Hi - -could anyone help me identify the history of a one-cup teapot I inherited -- it is a greatly loved heirloom that I remember from my childhood and would like to be able to tell my grandchildren about.

The stamp says:
Toronto
1847
Meriden Silver-Nickel Soldered
02200

Something has been scratched out -- looks like a number. Another number has been etched in by hand "52801"

The stamp appears to be a Meriden stamp of the Phoenix but it looks like a different version than those I have seen online for the Meriden-Britannia company. The date on the teapot also predates the formation of the Meriden-Britannia company.

Any information that could be provided would be greatly appreciated!

thank you!
