If you need help identifying the location of Cardowan Parish Church I may be able to assist. In the mining village of Cardowan, Stepps, Glasgow there is, to my knowledge anyway, no such church however I think there may be such a church in the Shettleston area of Glasgow. The only Carman Road I know of is in Dunbartonshire. It travels from Renton to Cardross and is very remote. I drove that road quite recently and there is no church on it whatsoever. Hope this helps.
